Launch Party!
Remember back when we used to be able to make human contact without thinking twice about it?? Even though it was not even two weeks ago it’s starting to feel like a distant memory.
This “social distancing” and COVID-19 craziness has made me think back to happier times, and makes me appreciate the support of my beautiful community that much more. One of those happier times that immediately popped into mind was my big launch party back in December.
It was such an overwhelmingly happy evening, surrounded by my closest friends & family, celebrating this launch into my dream business. I still have to pinch myself that I get to do what I love as a job, and I can’t thank you all enough for that support.
Let’s take a look at the event!
My sweet friend Kelsey McQuown of Kelsey Grape Jewelry opened her gorgeous shop, Moraine Shop & Studio last August. This stunning store in the heart of Suttons Bay, MI features handmade jewelry, art, and objects, and hosts workshops, events and classes taught by an eclectic mix of talented artists. She was so kind and generous in allowing our launch party to take place in her beautiful space!
I set up my very first collection of products on the main community table for my guests to get the first peek at my new collection of art and stationery goods.
And who’s that beautiful girl setting up the snacks for the event? That’s Abby Foster of Toile & Stripes who makes the most gorgeous hand-made clothes I’ve ever seen, which she had on display at the party for the guests to browse through as well.
We shared plates of charcuterie, glasses of wine, and of course DE-licious cookies made by my assistant, Kelsey, who doubles as the baker for The Flour Shop. My favorite part was the hand-painted custom sugar cookies featuring my new logo that Kelsey made special for the event. What a treat! (Literally!)
So many of my very best people came by to support me in this new venture and it truly was such a special night! Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in small businesses and colorful paper products to brighten even the tiniest moments. I couldn’t do this without each of you!
Cheers,
Kristin
