New Year New Dreams

image3+(1).jpeg

Holy moly can you believe that it’s the beginning of a new decade?? I can’t help but think about all the things that have changed in my life over the past 10 years; from completing architecture school, to moving states, to getting married, to having two babies… it’s been a whirlwind of changes that were completely life-altering.

But one change happened so slowly that I almost didn’t notice it: it was my growth as an artist. I’m not talking about getting better at painting or learning a new calligraphy technique. I mean my growth in confidence in MYSELF as an artist; in my ideas, in letting go of perfection, in being more playful, in having fun with it all. Because if you’re not having fun then what’s the point, really??

So as we enter this new year, I am so excited to continue this growth of mine and explore new artistic dreams. I’ve been playing with new ideas, new color palettes, new techniques, and even new materials (who else loves some gold foil???). I’ve also been reaching out to some of my favorite artists to collaborate on very exciting new products for our spring launch and I cannot wait to share them with you all!

Cheers,

Kristin

P.S. I spotted this colorful omen on my drive home on New Year’s Eve and I just knew that it was going to be a beautiful, colorful year ahead.
