A Moment of Gratitude

It has been one of the craziest seasons of my life. As a mother of two young girls, a business owner, a wife, (and then starting this new business on top of it) it feels like I am always running full steam ahead. I rarely have a chance to catch my breath, let alone take a moment to sit and reflect on it all. But as we approach Thanksgiving, I am reminded to take a step back and reflect on everything I have to be grateful for.

Here are just a few things that stop me in my tracks, even on the busiest of days:

My two girls: These small but mighty ladies (pictured above) may keep me the busiest out of all of the pieces of my life, but damn do they bring me so much joy. It is just so fun seeing their tiny personalities begin to blossom as they grow. Pippa is a little beam of sunshine and she truly radiates happiness wherever she goes. And Hayes is a brilliant little artistic goofball who sees the world with so much wonder. I just love them both so much.

My Hubs: Ryan has been my steadfast support system throughout every crazy dream that I’ve come up with. I couldn’t be more thankful for his endless encouragement and for always being there to make me laugh with a good dad joke at the end of the day.

My Pup: Juneau’s little waggle butt and her ears that smell like a puppy — even though she’s 8 years old — are two of my favorite things. I love her even though she has weird neurotic tendencies (like getting super scared every time I cough?)

My Home Town: Our little fam moved to Leland, Michigan last November and this past year has been one of the best of my life. This tiny town is full of some of the most genuinely kind people I have ever met. I love that everyone knows their neighbors and when they offer to help they really mean it. Like my neighbor Tammy who showed up with a broom when I was trying to brush snow off of my car with my hand before taking the girls to school, or my studio-mate Amanda who offered to cook dinner for me and my girls when Ryan was out of town on business. They’re all just the best.

This New Business: I know I’ve said this before but I’ll say it again. I am just so. dang. excited for this new venture. The opportunity to be more creative and do the work that I am truly passionate about is something that I was so scared to pursue, and I’m just pinching myself that it’s actually happening. I couldn’t be more thankful for all of YOU and your encouragement & support on this new crazy idea of mine. It truly means the world!!

Thank you again for being here and allowing me to do what I love! I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Cheers,

Kristin
